1st Anniversary of My Surgical Scar

I wanted to wish my scar a happy birthday. lol! Today, April 30th, marks the 1 year anniversary of my surgery and the birth of the scar on my belly. It gave me a second chance at life (with some trade offs) and I will never forget the 3 months long nightmare that I had endured. I never thought that I had it in me to survive such an ordeal, but I won't question my abilities either. It will forever be a reminder to me about how important it is to treasure every moment of life and to stay healthy.
